Hello,
I'm trying to use the Eventbrite API and I receive the "Could not retrieve data at this time." error as to others.  Yet there doesn't seem to be a clear solution in any of the other posts answers?
I have log into eventbrite went to my account scroll down to the API user key copy it and pasted it into the EventOn third party APIs.  I then create a new event and paste the eventbrite id form the events URL.
I don't see want I'm doing wrong as this is the directions give in the eventOn documentation  http://www.myeventon.com/documentation/how-to-integrate-eventbrite-to-eventon/.
Why do so many people seem to have a problem getting tis to work?

The reason for trying evenbrite is I need a simple way for a user to book an event and I to find out how many people are interested in some free classes. A plugin for booking with in eventOn would be nice for I am not selling tickets.

Dennis,

We are aware of this issue on eventbrite for some users. For the moment what you can do is use the learn more meta field for event and add a direct link to eventbrite event in there. So your event will allow users to find eventbrite event.

Ashan,

Is it possible for you to explain what the issue is?

Also I would like some clarity on the exact key from eventbrite to use.  When one signs up on eventbrite you are given a API user key, is this the key I should be using to fill in the myEventOn third party APIs?  Because I notice your link to eventbrite has us get an application key.  If this is the key I need to use what should I fill in for the URL ( i assume it is the url of the website that the myEventOn  plugin is being used ), also what should I put for application name and description? I'm wondering if this is causing the problem or confusion about the eventbrite API key to use.

Dennis,

You need the application API key that you have to fill a form on their end.
