Action User: Date is not saved if hour is not included

I'm using Action User v0.7, after a few hours of figuring out why the user submissions where not published I found out that if an hour is not included, the entire date is not saved in the event.

Hence, the event is never published.

Is there a way to allow users to publish an event without the need of giving a specific starting and ending hour?

I have exactly the same problem with dates not being saved, just haven't figured out that it was because of missing hours. It's definitely an issue.

Also, in the Action User the "Learn more about event link" field is not available, which I think it should be.

Yeah, this is definitely a problem if we're going to have users submitting their events and having no idea that it didn't send the date.

Really it just needs the same 2 checkboxes as the admin side:

- one that says "All Day Event" (which HIDES BOTH TIME fields, so you just need the dates but no times)

- and one that says "Hide End Time" (which goes on to hide the End Date as well, so you only need a Start Date and nothing else)

You can do this on the admin side; it just needs to be included on the front-end Action User form. Hopefully these are easy fixes, as this is pretty important. They've come through on some other fixes pretty quickly so I'm confident the EventON guys will deliver!

As long as we're on it, there is another serious problem with the Action User. When somebody forgets to fill in a required field (eg. end date) and clicks 'send', all fields - apart from the event title - are cleared. So someone might have written an elaborate event description and then it's gone. Also, a few things are not available for translation: "Required fields missing" and Start date, Start time, End date, End time that are inside form fields.

hi guys thanks a lot for the messages and letting me know of the issues we are having with ActionUser addon. I have mark all these down and will get right on to this so please keep an eye out for an update sometime soon.

There are 2 things which I feel need to be part of Action User. 1) A way for a Google Map to be generated from a submitted address and 2) an Edit Events submission form so the user doesn't need to go to the Wordpress back end. Thanks.

Hi Ashan, that's great to hear. Do you happen to have an ETA when this Action User update may be available?

I've actually had several users email me with issues they've had with it... a couple users lost their whole descriptions when they went to submit an event and the error validation refreshed the form with everything deleted. We've also had some trouble with several submissions that didn't have an hour submitted, so the event had no date on the back end. With the website being live and public (and me delivering this submission feature on a deadline so I can't take it offline), I'm actually in a bit of hot water over these features not quite working. :)

Anyway, still love the plugin and am just hoping the update might be coming sooner rather than later. Thanks for all your help!
