I installed a new WordPress site from scratch. I tried with the default theme. I installed the plugin. And again when I tried to activate the Daily View addon the site just became unresponsive.
Any ideas?
I got in contact with HostGator support and they are telling me this:
"Upon further investigating this, I found the site attempting to connect to an external IP: 184.173.80.75. This server that host this is currently down. Because of this, the site is stalling at attempting to connect until it eventually times out. This appears to be originating from the eventon plugins that are currently installed. Disabling these plugins has caused the administrator dashboard to load instantly without errors. "
Does anybody know anything about this?
I just had a chat with Ashan Jay, the Author of the plugin. I post it her FYI:

I contacted HostGator support and they tell me the addons are trying to connect with this IP 184.173.80.75 and that is causing a 4+ second delay in our Dashboard loading
