I just got the plugin and there seems to be a few glitches I'm experiencing on the site. The main glitch has to do with the biggest reason I bought the plugin. I've searched through the other topics to see if anyone had the same issue, and there were a couple but still unresolved. When I click the link to add an event to my calendar from the plugin I get this error:

Hey there, thanks for posting the error messages for me. So it looks like you have an event without dates and location values? is that correct? if so try filling those out first. and then there is also version 2.2.2 which should address http://www.myeventon.com/documentation/eventon-changelog/

Thanks for replying! I've updated the plugin, added a location to the event and I'm still getting an error message. The link is the same as before. This is the messages I'm getting...it's even adding content from a random post after it. Any ideas?

I'm still having an issue even with the new update 2.2.4. This is the new error and here's the link. One of the main reasons we bought this plugin was because of the "Add To Calendar" feature. It's kind of frustrating that it won't work.

http://meridianpointchurch.com/events/

Here's the error message. It looks like it's grabbing info from a post and wrapping it in the calendar.

DESCRIPTION: "FACEBOOK" (Abridged from an article by Kenny Luck) I call it the "Facebook Fumble" because more than a third of divorce filings last year contained the word "Facebook," according to a survey by Divorce Online, a UK-based legal services firm. The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers says 81% of its members have used or faced evidence plucked from Facebook or other social networking sites over the last five years. And, 66% of the lawyers surveyed cited Facebook foibles as the source of online evidence with 1 in 5 adults reported to use Facebook for flirting.
Facebook is one ball you don't want to drop. It can bring you down. It can ruin the "trust" in a marriage, and lead to affairs -- virtual or physical.
Tips to Avoid the Facebook Fumble Begin by honestly establishing your plan with Facebook. Sounds silly, but take a minute to establish your mission, and align it with God's mission, and how Facebook can serve as a tool. Then, put in the following measures: 1. Watch What You're Looking At Your eyes can lead you to think about someone or something, which can lead you to act in ways that do not reflect [God's people]. So many times in the Bible, the word "eyes" and "sin" are connected. In the Lord's Prayer Jesus taught us to ask God to "lead us not into temptation." Then in Mark 14:38, we're warned to "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." So, be on alert when on Facebook, and watch what you're looking at so you can avoid being tempted. 2. Watch What or Who You're Looking For Ask yourself, what's my motive for being on Facebook? And, remind yourself every time you go there. Find some old friends. Share your interests or engage people to follow you and your brand -- all healthy stuff. But don't use Facebook to find trouble. Trouble will find you easily enough. In Proverbs, we learn that "motives are weighed by the Lord" so examine yours regularly before you go looking on Facebook. 3. Watch What You Say and Do Your words and actions on Facebook are tracked, depending on your Privacy settings. So seemingly harmless "Likes" of photos or flirtatious "Comments" can illustrate a track record of your character breaches. More importantly, your words and actions reflect what's going on inside your heart and the true mission you are trying to accomplish. And, if you're married, don't get into conversations with the opposite sex about their personal lives which can create attachments that precede affairs of the heart, mind and body. Establish this rule: Do not engage through social media in private conversations with anyone of the opposite sex other than your spouse, parents, and siblings.
4. Ask Someone to Be Your Watchdog

Reality-check time! True transparency is only possible if someone else is watching. Ask a close friend, or your spouse, to follow your "Wall" and your actions as a "Close Friend." You may want to give them your password info so they can help make any instant course corrections. Marriage is sacred and your word is your reputation. So get a watchdog and make changes to your Facebook life. God's people humbly admit their mistakes, do what's right and stop doing what is wrong. 5. Watch How God Can Use Facebook If your mission aligns with God's, and you watch what and who you're looking at, examine your motives and what you say and do, and have some accountability, then Facebook can encourage others by sharing scripture, life learnings, maintaining relationships, providing helpful idea and entertaining. Ashan, I'm having similar problems through the past two releases. I reported this issue before your last release and I'm still having the same issue in your current release.

steps to replicate:

1) Click "Add to your calendar" on site
2) Click on the downloaded calendar item (Chrome or Firefox)
3) Calendar item opens in Outlook 2013 (Windows 8)
3a) calendar item says "Meeting cannot be found in the Calendar"
4) EventON calendar item does not populate into the calendar. If the calendar item is closed, it is not saved into the calendar. There is no way to save it or add any other attendees, or otherwise interact with the item.

Please fix! The client really wants to use this feature. An update when the item is fixed would also be nice. :)

Thanks!

Lara

Got the update for the plugin and the FullCal Addon. Now I have a new set of issues, and I'm STILL not able to add to my calendar. The good thing is that now it downloads an .ics file. The problem is it won't show up. It opens a dialog box that reads "Calendar can’t read this calendar file. No events have been added to your calendar." I'm using a Mac and I'm trying to add to iCal.

Another problem that started after the update was the number of events showing on hover. It doubles the actual number of events on that day. If there are two, it says four on hover.

A third problem that began was that my custom fields are not appearing at all. They are on the back-end but not on the front-end. I'm really sorry to have to report all these errors I'm getting, it's just as frustrating to me. Please help!

Hey Guys,

I greatly appreciate your patient on this one. I have recognize the issues we are experiencing with the add to calendar script and my apologies on that. However I have found a different script https://github.com/tardate/jquery.addtocalendar that should solve this and I am hoping to implement this into single Event in the next update which is next on my list.

Thanks again for your understanding.

Wanted to give you an update to everyone. I have found a suitable solution for this however it doesnt seem to work with safari browser and I am continuing to research on other alternatives that would work best for this need. Please stay tune and appreciate your patience. Also this add to calendar is the final issue that I am hoping to solve before releasing the next update to eventON addressing several other issues.

Cheers.
