Set view settings via short tag

Hi,

wouldn't it be a fantastic idea, if we could set the user interaction (event card or popup window) with a short tag and override the setting in the event?
I am using the different event lists on different sub pages, some have a lot of space, others are only in a sidebar.
It would be great, if I could set "popup window" for the lists in sidebars (for reasons of space) and the "event card" for lists with full width.

Any plans for integrating such a great feature?
Or maybe a different solution for my problem...?

Thanks a lot for the suggestion! In fact I have thought about doing this but never got around to that. Now that I know at least someone is interested int his I will see what I can do to implement this in the future.
