Display a list of events for current day

I want to put a short list of events (10 or 15) for the current day only on my home page and don't see a short code to do this.  I have the Daily View Add On but it seems that, even when using this, it defaults to the beginning of the month when the page loads.  It would make more sense for it to load to the current day and the user can go forward or backwards.

Is what I want to do possible?  Thanks

nvm - answered my own question.  "hide past events".  I guess the user just can't go backwards then.  That's fine.

I also need a view for the next 10 events ule that month.

Yes yes I know.. we need next 10 events list :) i am working on it.

Also dailyView should be fixed now to focus on current date as oppose to the issue with going back to beginning of the month
