At their March 9th, 2009 meeting, the Wappingers Central School
District Board of Education announced the appointment of Mr. Vince Di
Grandi as Principal of Wappingers Junior High School effective July 1,
2009. On July 1, Mr. Di Grandi will vacate his present position as an
Assistant Principal at John Jay High School, (WCSD). A search for his
successor at John Jay will begin immediately.

Prior to his work in the Wappingers Central School District, Mr. Di
Grandi served as a teacher in the Westport (Ct.) School District. Mr.
Di Grandi holds a degree in Communications from Fordham University, a
Masters degree in Elementary Education from Fairfield University and
CAS in Administration from Sacred Heart University (Ct.).

According to Mr. Di Grandi "7th and 8th grade is a critical time of
young adolescent development and I am looking forward to working
collaboratively with parents and an outstanding staff to meet the
needs of the diverse learners at Wappingers Junior High School."
