Hi,

Did the calls for createDiorama change recently? There are new choices
that the API reference does not show when generating from the code
builder page.

Thanks! Steve

Yes, major improvements. Sorry about the api change. I had to do this to get around a bug in google Earth. Documentation should be up to date. I will check in a minute.

Hi Steve, thanks for the heads up. I updated the documentation but never uploaded it. oops.

I was reluctant to change the API after publishing but I had no choice. The diorama system now uses cameras instead of lookat. It is a more flexible system as you can now look up at things and still orbit them. Also you now have roll.
Later this week I release a new command addAnimation that will make it possible to have many views and animations for a single scene. That will make it possible to make more upbeat faster paced presentations.

What are you making?

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the update, this is very helpful. I am working on a school
project for Harrisburg University in Pennsylvania USA.

How do you request that I properly credit you? I have noticed the
'powered by planet in action' on some.

Also, am I allowed to use this professionally as long as credit is
given? I think this is an excellent tool, I have been waiting to see
something like this for a while. thanks for making it!

There is no need to credit at all. The site regenerates income through advertising. But I am of course happy with any free promotion you can give. Stay in touch, I am very keen to hear the issues and feature requests.
Soon I be releasing addAnimation as shown in my Rio vid from yesterday. Also spline support and smooth model animation is in the works.
