Welcome to the myDash Community. These guidelines are intended to keep discussions useful, respectful and safe.

1. Be constructive

Questions, criticism and differing opinions are welcome, but address the idea or technical problem rather than the person presenting it.

When identifying a problem, explain what happened, what you expected to happen and how someone else can reproduce it.

2. Use clear conversation subjects

Create a new conversation for each distinct issue or proposal.

Helpful subjects include:

  • Gmail widget does not refresh after authorization
  • Suggestion: add a compact news widget
  • M12.1: additional Calendar instance remains locked
  • Installation problem on Chrome for Windows

Avoid vague subjects such as:

  • Help
  • Problem
  • It does not work
3. Include useful technical information

When reporting a problem, include where possible:

  • the myDash version;
  • browser name and version;
  • operating system;
  • the affected widget or feature;
  • steps that reproduce the problem;
  • the result you expected;
  • the result you actually received.

Screenshots are useful, but remove personal information before sharing them.

4. Protect private information

Do not publish:

  • passwords;
  • OAuth tokens;
  • API keys;
  • recovery codes;
  • private email contents;
  • private calendar events;
  • addresses or telephone numbers;
  • payment information;
  • exported dashboard files containing confidential material.

For private support, contact:

sup...@mydash.3-a.net

5. Do not impersonate official support

Only designated owners and managers speak officially for the myDash project.

Community members are welcome to help one another, but should not claim to represent myDash unless explicitly authorized.

6. No spam or unrelated promotion

Do not use the group for:

  • unsolicited advertising;
  • repeated promotional links;
  • unrelated products or services;
  • affiliate links without disclosure;
  • automated or repetitive posts.

Relevant tools, integrations and comparisons may be discussed when they directly contribute to a myDash conversation.

7. Report security concerns privately

Do not publicly disclose a vulnerability, exposed credential or method that could compromise user data.

Send security-related reports privately to:

sup...@mydash.3-a.net

Include enough information to reproduce and evaluate the issue safely.

8. Respect copyright and ownership

Share only material that you own, that you have permission to distribute or that can legally be shared.

When suggesting third-party designs, code or documentation, identify the original source where possible.

9. Moderation

Owners and managers may:

  • move discussions back on topic;
  • request additional information;
  • lock duplicate or completed conversations;
  • remove spam or unsafe material;
  • moderate new members or messages;
  • restrict accounts that repeatedly disregard these guidelines.

Moderation decisions are intended to protect the usefulness and safety of the community.

10. These guidelines may evolve

The guidelines may be updated as the community, website and product mature.

The current official website is:

Thank you for helping build a useful and respectful myDash community.
