Dear all,
As you are all aware we are having our local elections for the Town of North Hempstead next Tuesday November 5th.
We have been approached by members of the Democratic Party for a visit this coming Shabbat at Shaare Shalom.
Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Legislator Ellen Birnbaum, Council-member Veronica Lurvey and Town Clerk Wayne Wink will be visiting us.
Supervisor Judi Bosworth has requested to speak briefly but no promises were made. We might be having two or more shiras and it might be too difficult to quiet the congregation. But it would be very nice if we can accommodate her since she has always been a great if not the best friend of our community.
As of today no members of the Republican Party has asked us for a visit.
As Mehdi said we should be announcing the elections this week and urge every member of our community to get out and vote.
We need to show our strength as we are getting close to construction of our new community center B’H’.

Hello everyone,
Our guests are all confirmed for visiting Shaare Shalom tomorrow morning. They will be arriving at 11:15 for a meet and greet in the library followed by introduction and informing the community about the elections this coming Tuesday the 5th. If there is anyone interested to introduce them please let us know.
