Average Per Day, not correct?

I have a question:

App #1 has been on the app store exactly 30 days.
However, the (total $ / 30) does not equal the number being reported
"per day"

App #2 went on the app store one night and sold 2 before the day was
over, and then sold 43 the next day, (for a total of $31.04) but the $
"per day" was listed as "$4.43 per day"rather than 15.52 as I would
expect for two days.

Does this have anything to do with foreign currency exchange rates, or
something?
is this right? what am I missing?

Clearly it is averaging over a 7 day period.

4.43 * 7 = 31.01
