2014 IPMT Malaysia, Penang 30th May-6th June

Anthroposophic medicine, based on the spiritual scientific research of Anthroposophy was inaugurated by Rudolf Steiner, Ph.D. (1861-1925) with the cooperation of Ita Maria Wegman, M.D. (1876-1943). This medical approach integrates in a holistic way mainstream medical research and the dimension of anthroposophic spiritual research for understanding the nature of body, soul and spirit. There are currently anthroposophical medical practices in more than 60 countries worldwide.

The International Postgraduate Medical Training / IPMT has been organized since 2002 as a sequence of annual advanced medical training weeks in different countries worldwide. The IPMT offers a training opportunity for anthroposophic medicine or an international certificate of anthroposophic medicine. To achieve a critical therapeutic effect to the whole communities and society, the IPMT not only emphasizes on the anthroposophic medicine, pharmacy and nursing but also curative education, anthroposophic art therapy, biodynamic agriculture and the business or economics.

This programme occurs in a series of at least a week training every year for five years (five modules). 2014 will be the second module for IPMT Malaysia.

Malaysia IPMT hosts the following groups and the groups’ focuses in 2014.

(I) Anthroposophic Medicine and Pharmacy: (lead by Dr Rosalinda Maglana)

This session is available only to those health professionals who have either qualified in a registered field of practice, or are on a specific path of training. For medical doctors this course serves as part of the pathway to certification as an Anthroposophic Physician.

(II) Anthroposophic Nursing Care: (lead by Dr Paulita Baclig, Damarisa Ceriales)

This session is open to those nursing or homecare professionals who have either qualified in a registered field practice, or are on a specific path of training.

(III)Curative Education and Remedial Teaching: ( lead by Edith Bulle)

This session is open to educator, therapist, social worker, art therapist, teacher, parent or those who have interest in this field of training.

(IV)Anthroposophic Art Therapy: ( lead by Proff Hildrun Rolff )

This session is open to educator, therapist, social worker, art therapist, teacher, parents or those who have interest in this field of training.

(V) Biodynamic Agriculture: (lead by Hans Mulder)

This session is open to agricultural professionals, farmers or those who have interest in this field of training.

(VI)Business: How to Develop Tools to Bring Business Life in “Service of Humanity”: (lead by Dr Michaela Gloeckler)

This session is open to business professionals, entreprenuer those who have interest in this field of training.
