7-day Art Therapy Introduction workshop by Prof. Hildrun Rolff
~An Introduction for 1 year Foundation Art Therapy Program~
26th Dec 2014 to  1st Jan 2015

Workshop overview:
This 7 days introduction workshop will give the participants an overview, relating to the one year program. During this workshop, we will show participants the way to work with art and art therapeutic tools and what contend the course will contain.
This workshop will show how the one year foundation course will be structured, the topics which are planned and the timetable for the 1 year Foundation of Art Therapy Program.

About the 1 year Foundation of Art Therapy Program:
This program will ONLY be a stepping stone on how to become a qualified art therapist.
This art therapy program has an anthroposophical background, but it also relates to other important art therapeutic methods and directions, and to medical and psychotherapeutic foundations.

7 Days Workshop Theme : A tool for self- experience, self- recognition and self- development

Workshop Description:
1.    Learning to work on the relationship with the inherent instances for staying balanced, being in contact with feelings and listening to intuitions, art and art therapy is a wonderful partner. Creating in itself, mirrors the one who creates.
2.    Firstly, to read this mirror is one part the art therapists need to know. The second would be, to recreate the ability to work in a flow with life’s energy, that’s also the power of fantasy that children use to benefit from. Thirdly, it’s necessary to know their own strengths and weaknesses, in order to deal with it and create the best therapeutic abilities out of these resources. As well to develop new ideas in addition to what the therapist already knows. These steps are fundamental in becoming an art therapist.  Lastly and the most important thing on which art therapy is built on, is THE ART itself.
3.    Art is not only the book from which art therapists read from, most of all its also responsible for the therapeutic effects in art therapy. It’s the tool which leads to a therapeutic success, the medium with which an unhealthy process can be changed  into a healthy process.
