Application for Constitutional Federalism Institute Program

Dear all,

On behalf of the Constitutional Federalism Institute (CFI), I would like to share our Constitutional Federalism Programme (CFP) which is 10+5 days course. The CFP Course consist of 2 trainings;

-        1st round of training takes place from Monday the 3rd of February to Friday the 14th of February (10 days training)

-        2nd round of training takes place from Monday the 9th of March to Friday the 13th of March (5 days training)

The training location will be in central Yangon. The deadline to apply is midnight, Wednesday, January 15, 2020. You may complete the application form in English or Myanmar/Burmese language (Unicode, Zaw Gyi) as attached.

What is the CFI?

The Constitutional Federalism Institute is an initiative aimed at contributing to an inclusive peace process in Myanmar that leads to sustainable peace and the development of strong democratic institutions. The Institute will seek to achieve this objective by focusing on intensive training for current and next-generation leaders and advisors and by providing capacity building and assistance to groups currently underrepresented in the peace process.

Who can apply?

The course is primarily designed for people affiliated with CSOs and/or political organizations with some prior involvement in the peace process. Women with infants and small babies are strongly encouraged to apply. Significant prior knowledge on federalism is not a requirement. People from all groups regardless of ethnic, religious or minority background are encouraged to apply. A diverse composition of participants is desired. A maximum of 35 participants will be accepted into the course.

We will not consider applications from anyone who is an active member of any armed group.
