Moreover, I'm looking for a way how to do the Petition things in Drupal. If so, we can migrate both sites into the same platform in future.

Hi Ko Tun, and Ko Ei Maung

    After I learning the current system on petition.myanmarlanguage.org, I believe we can do this in www.myanmarlanguage.org without using any new module.

The basic requirements and workflow are
    1) A Form - to let people submit their signature
    2) Security Check (Captcha) before they submit (I not found this security check in the currenty system)
    3) A List of Petitions to show everybody. That's all?
   
    We can add more these steps
    4) Alert the Admin or Petition Admin to confirm new Signature
    5) Admin or Petition Admin approve the Signature, Report as Spam, or Ban some email, or domain (such as mail.ru)
    6) Signature appeared on the Public viewable area.
The next part is to ReCompile and Import current Signatures into the new system.

Please add more idea and correct if something wrong in the workflow.
If we can do this successfully, we can save more time and resources.

Anyhow, I have baned that IP by the whole class C ip range.
Spammer was from Germany from 88.198.37.84 constantly.

we are not moving forward.

I met mcc and kmd in Yangon during my last trip and confirmed their supports. but, it is our side which is not moving. Lucifer and Kyaw Sithu should be leading :) but I suppose they are busy and could not spare time much

Anyway, I will be available in Jan 2011 and will organize directly if the progress is still slow.

Yes, I got the access and petition is a wp plugin which means normal antispam for wp wouldn't work. And there are thousands of them. I can't do it alone coz I need to delete them one by one. So please help me deleting them carefully since actual petitioners are among spams.

Why not we setup a call and discuss? If we already have solid offers from MCC and KMD, we can simply announce the opportunities through MITP and others and ask interested students to email us with their profile (and maybe ask them to write an essay on why they want scholarship). And let's form a scholarship selection working group with 5-8 members and do rating on each applicant. We select highest candidates and award them.

 

I try to think something doable in short-time without online form and other automatic process :-) At least we won't waste the opportunity cost for those students.
