Call for application
A four-day, active research/ design workshop concentrating on some of the most important conservation challenges facing the historic core of the city. Its primary purpose is to help build local skills and capacity, and support the work of the Yangon Heritage Trust.

A high-energy workshop, matching UK experts with Myanmar graduate and young architects to address the design opportunities of three heritage sites in Yangon. Lasting 4 days and based on a master class format, the workshop will allow young local architects to work alongside a cadre of UK specialists, with a particular focus on urbanism and understanding how to manage change to the historic environment in one of the world’s finest surviving colonial trading cities. This is an active, hands-on programme so that the output of the workshop will offer genuine value to local stakeholders.
