Singapore as a thriving and sustainable trading hub

Dear Zaw,

As part of the SG50/SMU15 celebrations, the International Trading Institute@SMU is organising a special event to commemorate the contributions of the trading and maritime sectors.

This special panel session will focus on the topic "Singapore as a Thriving and Sustainable Trading Hub : What Is Needed For The Next 50 Years?" Chaired by Prof Annie Koh, you will hear from senior leaders from the trading, banking and maritime sectors on what are the ways forward to building a sustainable trading and maritime eco-system that will last for the next 50 years and beyond. Panellists will include:

1.     Gerry Craggs, Managing Director, Stemcor (S.E.A.)

2.     Philip Choi, President, Shell International Eastern Trading Company

3.     Frederik Groth, CEO, ADM Asia-Pacific Trading

4.     Patrick Phoon, Deputy Managing Director, Evergreen Shipping Agency

As part of the event, we will also be launching a commemorative book on the topic of Leadership which captures the powerful experiences and stories of our various stakeholders that have been the driving force behind their success. It will feature in depth interviews with partners, industry veterans and alumni, all of whom have played an important role in the entire eco-system.

Do join us at this celebratory milestone for Singapore and SMU.
