I refer to the registration of MYANMAR MARITIME ASSOCIATION (SINGAPORE).
2 The Association may wish to consider including the following in the Association’s future amendment of rules:
a. The name is not in tandem with its objectives and membership. Please either amend the name or objects/membership.
b. The unit number is #03-63 in its constitution but the unit number is #03-61 in its registered place of business. To change the unit number in its constitution or submit application to change place of business.
c. To change the word “Society” to Association” in rule 6.5.
d. To ensure consistency in rule 8.1 and 10.1 as the term is 3 years but “alternate” Annual General Meeting is used.
e. To include the duties of Assistant Secretary in rule 9.
f. To include the word “but” after “Visitors and guests may be admitted into the premises of the Association” in rule 12.
g. To change “Head, Licensing Division” to “Assistant Director, Licensing Division” for fund raising prohibition clause in rule 13.7.
h. To change “25% or 20 voting members” to “two-thirds (2/3)” for amendments to constitution in rule 14.
3 Please note that an Annual General Meeting shall be held in end of July and the financial year shall be from 15th March to 14th March. Attached is an extract of the Societies Act and Regulations to draw your attention to your obligations as a society. Thank you.

2 The society is required to pass the proposed amendments at the society's general meeting of members, in accordance with its existing constitution. Thereafter, the society would have to submit an application for amendment of rules to ROS for approval. The average processing time is about 2 months. The application may be submitted online at www.ros.gov.sg. A fee of $130 is payable upon the society’s receipt of the outcome of your application. Please ensure that the society's outstanding annual returns are submitted before making any applications. Thank you.
