Young People’s Attitudes to Domestic Violence
In 2014, Youth Action and the White Ribbon Foundation surveyed over 3,000 young people across Australia on their attitudes to Domestic, Family and Teen Dating Violence. This research forms the largest and most comprehensive survey of Australian young people’s attitudes in 15 years. ClubGRANTS is a shared State Government and club industry program, funded by a gaming machine tax rebate provided by the State Government to those registered clubs with gaming machine profits in excess of $1 million. Redfern Legal Centre
Redfern Legal Centre is offering a number of online training sessions in the next few weeks. These include:

Child Safe E-Learning
The Office of the Children’s Guardian has made available an e-Learning package about The Working with Children Check. The module contains short videos visually explaining the key processes in the WWCC system. Feel free to complete this e-learning module if you want to learn more about the Working With Children Check.
Please be advised that this eLearning module is optional and will require you to nominate a username and password for registration. This username and password IS NOT the same as the username and password employers use to verify workers online.

FACS is running its next “Research to Practice seminar on the theme "Home Truths: rethinking our response to family violence” on Monday 27th April in Redfern. The full day seminar will include a range of speakers from Australia and overseas.

Response Abilities Training
FWTDP is offering a 2 day training program based on the Response Abilities program, aimed at helping workers to better understand and deal with young people experiencing conflict

White Ribbon Regional Forums
White Ribbon Australia is hosting a series of regional forums from 22 May - 2 June 2015 across Australia. The forums will showcase a whole of society, whole of community approach to driving long term change in the prevention of men's violence against women. The forums will feature international and local experts currently working in the prevention of men's violence against women. We are delighted to announce that Professor Walter DeKeseredy, Dr Michael Flood, Dr Michael Kaufman and Karyn McCluskey will join us as keynote speakers to share their knowledge and expertise.

Aussie Rules for Girls and Young Women
The Auburn Giants is proud to announce the launch of its Youth Girls Team. The youth girls initiative is focused on encouraging girls aged 12-18 years to participate in Aussie Rules. It's for girls with different skill and experience levels. This is for girls who want to have fun in a safe and social environment. The first training session is Tuesday 31 March from 5-6pm. Unicef Young Ambassadors Program
Applications are now open for the Young Ambassador program for 2015-16. This is a one year voluntary role, where young people aged 15-24 from around the country join UNICEF Australia in speaking up for the rights of children. The Young Ambassadors work closely alongside UNICEF Australia to engage with their peers through schools, universities and in the wider community to highlight and address key issues relating to children’s rights both locally and internationally. Applications will close on Sunday the 3rd of May 2015.

Multicultural Youth Football Competition

YOTS National Scholarship Program - Deadline Extended to April 10th
The National Scholarship Program celebrates the talents and strengths of young in Australia who exhibit extraordinary promise but lack the personal support networks and resources that will allow them to fulfil their potential.
Every year over 20 young people throughout Australia are awarded scholarships valued at $6,000 to pursue further education or training so they may realise their potential for a positive future. In addition each recipient and their guest will be brought to Sydney to attend a special award ceremony in September 2015 to be formally acknowledged of their achievement.
Cricket Tournament for International Students
NSW Police Force is holding a Corporate Community Engagement event that will bring police and international students together to not only enjoy playing sports, but also create opportunities for dialogue around a range of topics. Synergy Youth Mental Health Project
Young and Well CRC are looking for three Youth Coordinators in NSW for an exciting project that will shape how a new technology system, Synergy, will support the mental health and wellbeing of young people. Synergy will connect mental health services, apps and tools to create better outcomes for young people. If you are aged 18 to 25 years and would like to help us engage with young people, we’d love you to join our team! You would be connecting with young people in your community who want to contribute their ideas, facilitating conversations around their needs and engaging them in co-design workshops to help shape Synergy.
This project will require you to have strong community connections in one of our three target areas Greater Western Sydney, Central Coast or Broken Hill.

Parenting Adolescents
Youth Health will be offering the free 'Engaging Adolescents' parent course over three sessions starting at 10am on Thursday the 7th of May at The Western Area Adolescent Team (WAAT). The course aims to equip parents/carers of adolescent children to resolve teenage behaviour problems.
