Office of Sport - Sport and Recreation would like to remind everyone of the Social Media for Sportworkshop scheduled at Fairfield City Council, Wakeley.

 

This workshop is suitable for volunteers, parents, administrators, management, board directors and anyone involved in club/association sport and also community groups.

 

Please refer to the bottom of the email for enrolment instructions.

 

 

Social Media for Sport

 

The newly created Social Media for Sport workshop provides assistance in the following topic areas:

 

-       Social media

-       Best practice for social media use

-       Social media policy

-       Choosing the right social media platform

-       Security

-       Terminology

 

The three-hour workshop discusses the importance of using Social Media platforms for your sport or organisation. Facebook and Twitter will be the main examples used in the evening session covering best practices and suggestions for your sport or group.

 

The final hour will show how to create Twitter and Instagram accounts along with Facebook pages and groups. Where possible, participants are encouraged to bring their own tablets or laptops with internet access. Free Wi-Fi available.
