The information gathered each year is used to produce a national report, which is distributed widely to schools, community organisations and policy makers.

Shining a light on good practice in NSW 2015 - Family and Community Services (FACS) is once again calling on submissions for the Shining a light on good practice in NSW 2015 Report. Last year’s report featured five powerful stories from the non-government sector about their innovative and inspired work with children and families, plus examples of government and NGO practitioners working together to achieve great things. The report is unique because of its focus on child protection practice through the telling of real-life stories with humanity, heartache and humour. The language used is carefully chosen to remain true to practitioners’ voices, but also with an understanding that the way we talk about child protection, influences how we work with children, young people and families. For details contact Megan O’Neill on 9716 3044. Submissions close 30 May, 2015.
