Dear MYAN NSW Members

MYAN NSW is looking for a new Executive Officer, to lead us through the next exciting stage in our development as the first statewide multicultural youth specialist organisation in NSW, following the launch of MYAN NSW as an independent organisation last December.

I am really pleased to be continuing my involvement with MYAN NSW in a new role, providing strategic advice and guidance to the board and the new Executive Officer.

Executive Officer – Multicultural Youth Affairs Network of NSW (MYAN NSW)
 
Are you passionate about improving the lives of young people from multicultural backgrounds in NSW?
Do you have experience in the settlement, youth or multicultural sectors in NSW? Are you looking for a dynamic leadership role working across sectors, with government and ngos?
 
  • 4 days per week (0.8 EFT) negotiable
  • SCHCADS Level 8
  • 12 month initial contract
 
The MYAN NSW is NSW’s statewide multicultural youth specialist organization committed to improving the opportunities and outcomes for multicultural young people in NSW.
 
We are seeking an Executive Officer to coordinate the work of the MYAN NSW in the new phase of the organisation. This is an exciting and unique position that combines sector development, policy and advocacy work at the local, state and national levels.
The MYAN NSW Executive Officer will support strategic relationships across the non-government and government sectors, and will support long-term development of the first independent state-wide multicultural youth organisation in NSW.
 
The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of refugee and migrant youth issues, demonstrated experience in policy and sector development work and high level advocacy and liaison skills.
They will be an excellent communicator with demonstrated project management skills and capacity to manage a demanding work program independently.
