Feature request: hyperlinks to applications other then outlook

MLO 2.5.1 task notes allows links to outlook items, files and http
links.

I use other applications (such as Connected Text) to which I need to
be able to access specific items from within MLO. For instance "ct:/
ct_file%ct_item%" is the format of a link to connected text item. I
need to be able to paste this text and be able to highlight it for
hyperlink clicking (which will take me to the respective connected
text item).

I just discovered that notes entries beginning with \\ are considered
hyperlinks. Will this work for any external application links? When I
tried it for connected text (example: \\ct://TeamGuidelines/TEAM
%20WORKING%20IMPROVEMENTS), it does WORK but not completely. It gives
an error in MLO that there was a problem opening the linked file. Is
this expected? If connected text is already open, it does take me to
the respective page, but i encounter an error message in MLO. Please
help fix this issue.
