Greeting:

I recently had a Twitter conversation with MLO official account and the conversation involving "How to customize Active Actions Views for each project" which I thought it is not possible while official MLO account says it is possible(A) but he/she did not elaborate how, which is why I am asking the question here, I hope someone here can help to shed some light.

(A):
It is possible. For each project you can customize the Active Actions view, and open these views in separate tabs for easy switching between them.

Hello KC. This is one of the benefits of MLO over other project and task management apps - Once you get into the filtering, grouping and sorting options (and in particular the advanced filter), there is very little you can't customise!

You don't mention whether you're thinking about the views in the Windows desktop, Android and iOS - It doesn't matter, though, because any view you set up in one of those devices you can email to yourself and then import into the other devices. I'll assume you're using the Windows desktop.
I'm also not sure whether you're looking for a separate view for each project, with different filtering and sorting parameters, or a single view which shows the active actions grouped by project. I'll assume the latter.

Firstly, make sure you can see your Views and Filters pane on the left of your screen - Press Alt-F1 to toggle it on and off.
To create a filter, make sure your filter controls are visible by clicking on the "Filter" heading to bring it to the top of that pane. The filter settings you could try are:
  • Show Actions: Active
  • Show Hierarchy: No
  • Group By: Project (or you could try group by Project Status and then by Project, so you can see separate groups for all your completed projects, in progress projects, etc)
  • Try a few other filters, if they're useful to you. You could even experiment with advanced filters, setting up groups of filters (eg: A and B or B and C... the options are endless)
At the bottom of the left hand pane, once you're happy with your filter, you can "save view as...". Then it's in your Views list. You can drag it into the position you want in your views list and you can export it for use on any of your other devices which run MLO.

Does that help?
Stéphane
