We've been thinking about a watch app for a long time, but there is still no OS standard for a watch.
Whether Wear OS 3.0+ can become that standard remains to be seen...

Thanks for your input, it is unbelievable (to me) that MLO does not come with a android smartwatch app.

I'd buy an Android Wear watch the moment this became available.

Not an app but MLO notifications work fine on my Gear Fit and have done for years, including the ability to complete tasks. It depends on the level of functionality you require from an MLO app.

I'm dreaming of a wear os app from the moment i've seen that the apple watch MLO app has a counter that show the sum total amount of time required to complete all active task!!!
This would be very useful for people like me that need to use MLO on the go in fast paced environment....I plan ahead and execute after, constantly checking hour and time left to execute the tasks....that time required counter would be very handy!!
I'm glad to see that i'm not alone wanting a wear os app, thanks!!

I guess the sounds of crickets since I asked for an update on wearOS means, it's not going to happen. :( I guess I'll just have to keep wishing. :) Still love MLO regardless.

That kind of low altitude is totally out of my imagination..., MLO needs a competitor, anyone know one?  ^^ |

I don't think it is right that MLO team stays silent about the development of MLO Wear OS, BTW.

In principle you are right.

However – in Charkiw there is war currently…..

IMHO this justifies a bit of patience.

Btw – if you want to support them – what about donating? 😊

How do you actually contact MLO support to ask them questions? I'm guessing they don't monitor the forums.

Few observations:
1. I think All smart watches are capable of displaying MLO reminders/notifications without any special app.
2. wearOS is so niche (and always been) so even google dumps support of it's own apps. Thus, I guess it's not reasonable to expect any attention at all.
3. Giving "avg" wearOS watch size and round shape (unike apple watch), I imagine it will be quite painful experience even to see active actions not saying about any extra. At least it was like that for Google keep
4. The phone is typically somewhere around.

I have todoist installed on my wearOS and it works great. I actually don't bring my phone with me everywhere I go. If I go out running, or just to the store, I leave my phone at home. todoist works great. Just hate having to move things from MLO to todist all the time.

I just bring up the to-do list I want, and check things off right in the watch as I go. Can even add things to my to-do.

The samsung smart watch actually has a nice size screen. Never had a problem like you described. A lot of others want this to be supported. I'll be honest, I do find myself using other to-do apps that support the watch more and more, and use MLO less and less. I do prefer MLO but it's not keeping up with the times. Hopefully one day it will. I got my fingers corssed.

1. Yes, it may be capable of displaying a notification, but you can't browse your list, and if you accidentally dismiss a notification then you're buggered. Can't add tasks either. When you have dependencies, the next tasks don't appear upon actioning a notification to mark a task as complete, and the notifications don't always work to action it, and don't seem to disappear after actioning. It's lacking.
2. As is watchOS.
3. Apple Watch MLO app shows exactly how it would work just fine. If you think it's painful, perhaps it just isn't for you.
4. Massively out of touch with people going phone-less due to cellular on smart watches, including the Apple Watch.

1+2+3+4 are like just your opinions, man. :- )

If there was an API, I'm sure we'd have sorted this already. It doesn't need to be a deep app, it just needs to meet the bare minimum of viewing tasks, adding them, marking them off, and supporting GPS for contexts.

It's not *that* niche. A quick search shows that WearOS has 20% of the smartwatch market.

But that's a massive market that is only getting larger.

Also my guess would be MLO might be more weighted towards Android users, and that's the percentage that would really matter in this case.

A limited API that'd just expose the functions needed for a smartwatch app would be awesome, and also allow other niches to possibly be covered like a command-line client or IFTTT and other services like that.

In any case thanks so much for the developer(s) who continue to carry on in Ukraine!

Actually I have MLO on my Apple watch, but it has not been updated since Apple removed press and hold, so there is only the default, starred list. Also I can only see two items in the list. So I tend to use Todoist, which shows 3 or 4 tasks. OurGroceries shows up to 5, but does not allow bulk entry

I would prefer to use MLO for this. All in good time.

Any update from the MLO team when this will be available? More and more to-do apps seem to be supporting wearOS, except MLO. :(
