Hello.
I am using MLO ppc-verion for some time now, and i think it is a very
useful piece of software. It allows me to manage all my tasks using
the principles of David Allens´ "GtD".
I am only using the ppc-version of MLO and don´t know anything about
the desktop-version.
I´d like to make some proposals to enhance MLOs usability:
1. Make the to-do-list filter by "category", "projects" and by "due
date", so that you have one to-do-list with all tasks. For example by
category:
@calls
- Task1
- Task2
- Task3
@errands
- Task1
- Task2
...
Filtering by "category" as it is now, is circumstantial if you have
many categories. Too much clicking in the drop-down-list.
If you filter the to-do-list by "due date" you can still see, to which
project the task belongs, unlike to filtering the outline by "due
date".
2. If you add a new task in the outline it would be helpful, if the
"task-details-view" would open immediately and you could add the title
of the task right here. That would save one step in adding a new task.
Another point is, that you could easily edit the name of an existing
task in the "task-details-view". "Direct-editing" the task-name in the
outline view ist very annoying, if you have long names. You are forced
to move the cursor with the arrow-button of the keyboard instead of
tipping with the pen right to the correct position.
Another advantage would be, that you would be able to use copy-and-
paste.
I hope you can understand, what i am trying to say, because english is
not my native-language (as you might have noticed ;-) )
Regards,
