Old Business:

•Discussion of Preservation Restrictions process – held by the Historical Commission, to assist property owners in long term historic preservation of their homes. Awaiting the Select Board comments and Town Counsil comments. Requested Select Board review of process and Town Counsil comments. In process.

•Back Home and Lifted in Place…Chatham’s Historic, US Coast Guard Boat House, returned to Stage Harbor, restoration in process for “Adaptive Reuse” as the “Shellfish Upweller”, at 90 Bridge Street. Assembling information and review for the updated Form B, by Preservation Consultant Eric Dray. Submission, March 2027, when Boat House is dedicated to MHC for “Determination of Eligibility”, as a National Register Structure.

•Application by the Nickerson Family Assoc. (NFA), to Mass Historic Commission, (MHC), for the “William and Anne Nickerson homesite, archeological site” – for listing as a National Register Site, in process PAL/Holly Herbster, expect draft application in June.

•Status of Current Demolition Delays:
-45 Crows Pond Road expires May 6, 2026 - EXPIRED
-127 Stage Harbor Road expires October 7, 2026

Issues on hold:
•Demolition by Neglect, concerns and possible actions to address the issue.
•Protection of resources in archeologically sensitive areas. Consider adoption of a formal archaeological review process. Recommendations from Updated Town Wide Archeological Survey, possible coordination with Conservation Commission.
•Monomoy Theatre Property - 776 Main St, Concepts/Restoration for Washington /Taylor House & Theatre,
•Development of Preservation Plan.
•Preliminary review for possible update/expansion of Marconi-RCA National Register District as a result of the updated Archeological Reconnaissance Survey from March 2009.
