Public Hearing 7:00 pm - The Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Memorial Hall, 584 Main St., Athol, MA 01331, on the appeal of James Parmenter, for Parmenter Properties, LLC, of 367 Royalston Rd., Baldwinville, MA 01436 for property owned by Parmenter Properties, LLC, of 367 Royalston Rd., Baldwinville, MA 01436, located at 217 Spring St., Athol, MA 01331 (Map 33 Lot 58).
Pursuant to M.G.L. c.40A §15, James Parmenter is seeking an Administrative Appeal of the July 15, 2025 Cease and Desist Order of the Building Commissioner to cease use as a Boarding House for more than 3 unrelated individuals, not allowed in the RB Zoning District under Article II, Section 2.3 Use Regulation Schedule - Athol Zoning Bylaws; and further requests a reasonable accommodation under state and federal law to allow the Boarding House use for 10 disabled individuals.
