Job Description
We have the need for one QA Test- Lead
This role will be a QA Test- Lead that will advise an onsite and offshore team regarding test strategy & tools, 3-5 years leading automated test effort following an Agile methodology.
Not a must have, but will be helpful, experience with mobile and ecommerce business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Able to discern business needs & prioritize effectively
• Manage compliance to standards
• Publish key metrics. KPI’s
• Experience with managing test asset inventory
• Design and build test components according to documented standards and established frameworks.
• Identify and set up test environment configuration necessary to support test execution;
• Establish and implement approach for managing test data.
• Extend verification points to ensure function point failures are not repeated.
• Perform execution of test cases and report on results.
• Maintain test automation assets/library.
• Verify automation defects through analysis to confirm application failure or maintenance required on automation assets.
• Report clear concise defects discovered through test automation and escalate where appropriate.
• Create test strategy/plans and establish test tasks at project level.
• Analyzing functional requirements for completeness, correctness and clarity to drive test plan and strategies;
• Analyzing opportunities for automation of test execution, results analysis, test data creation and environment configuration;
• Identification of test environment configuration necessary to support test execution;
• Analyzes for opportunities to increase testing efficiencies in development deliverables;
• Identification of root cause for test failures.
• Works within the project team and test team to address issues and report status;
• Works with the Developers to collaborate on deliveries to test environments and debugging of results.
• Coordinates manual and automated test execution with other team members.
• Analyze functional requirements and system design to determine test strategy/plan for both manual and automated testing approach.
• Develop Test cases based upon test strategy and test coverage;
• To help develop test tools and techniques based upon the test strategy and coverage;
• Work with Developers on defining deliverables based upon test strategy;
• Execute test cases and analyze failures for root cause;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the test execution and analysis of results.
• Decision making opportunities in the area of test automation strategies, tool selection and test environment configuration across products;
• Decision making opportunities in the areas of functional test coverage, metrics analysis and quality assessment.
• Evaluation/selection of appropriate tests, testing methods, etc., leveraging technical expertise to make independent decisions.GOOD communication
