Remote climate control questions

Hi,

I got a 2018 UK Nissan Leaf as a company car last week and, after battling with Nissan Customer Care for several days to get the car swapped to my name to allow me to register it with You+Nissan, I've gone straight to using My Leaf. I have a quick question although I suspect it's something I'm doing wrong as I haven't read the manual yet.

If I set the Climate Control temperature from My Leaf to anything other than 21c/69f when I go back in to the Climate Control section the slider is reset to 21c/69f again. The actual cabin temperature reported keeps increasing to 29c though no matter what temperature I've set. Am I going wrong somewhere please?

Thanks for writing!

The slider resetting is sadly a limitation of Nissan's API; there is no way of getting the set temperature reliably and therefore it resets.

I just recently added the option to set temperature for vehicles produced prior to May 2019. I've gotten some feedback now from you and others that seem to indicate that setting temperature has no real effect. I think I will remove this feature again alltogehter as it does not seem to work properly. It's unfortunate but I think that it is the only thing to do.

Just to add; the option to set temperature is available through Nissan's API. I have heard setting the temperature with the official app also has no effect.
