Problema al descargar mxmaps

Hola Sr. Valle,

He estado teniendo un problema al descargar su paquete. Al intentar instalarlo de github a RStudio con devtools. Me sale este mensaje de error en la consola:

* installing *source* package 'mxmaps' ...

Error in file(file, if (append) "a" else "w") :

(convertido del aviso) cannot open file '[carpeta]/00LOCK-mxmaps/00new/mxmaps/DESCRIPTION': No such file or directory

ERROR: installing package DESCRIPTION failed for package 'mxmaps'

* removing '[carpeta]/mxmaps'

Error: Failed to install 'mxmaps' from GitHub:

(convertido del aviso) installation of package ‘[usuario]/AppData/Local/Temp/Rtmp2THLiS/file14b811e84c62/mxmaps_0.6.0.tar.gz’ had non-zero exit status

Estoy usando este:

devtools::install_github("diegovalle/mxmaps")

Creo que el problema es que tu nombre de usuario tiene un acento en la "í". Puedes intentar instalar el paquete a otro directorio (a la mejor necesitas ser administrador)

.libPaths("C:/Program Files/R/R-3.6/library") #Cambiar al directorio de R en tu sistema
devtools::install_github("diegovalle/mxmaps")

Hola, este error está sucediendo porque hay que definir una variable que se llama GITHUB_PAT para que github te otorgue permisos para descargar el paquete. Para generar el token puedes visitar https://github.com/settings/tokens y para definir la variable con su valor puedes ejecutar Sys.setenv(GITHUB_PAT = "valor PAT")

Hola estoy intentando la descarga tras actualizar RStudio y R a versiones 4.4.2 "Pile of Leaves" y me arroja este error.

Error in utils::download.file(url, path, method = method, quiet = quiet, : no fue posible abrir la URL 'https://api.github.com/repos/diegovalle/mxmaps/tarball/HEAD'

Hola Diana, puedes intentar descargar mxmaps como zip de https://github.com/diegovalle/mxmaps/archive/refs/heads/master.zip y luego instalarlo con devtools::install_local
