Hi all,

Please see the below announcement from the Chairman:

It is with great sadness I have to report the death of David G3XOB.

David died of COVID, 5pm last Friday after being admitted to hospital
suffering breathing difficulties. His wife Anna said: "The wonderful
medical team at Southmead did everything they could for Dave. He passed
away peacefully with me lying my head on the pillow beside him".

David was licenced in 1967 and after a break of 25 years he returned to
radio in 2014 and joined NBARC where he will always be membered for his
support of the committee, friendly welcome and chuckle he gave to
members and guests as they arrived. No doubt his legacy will live on
with those he helped pass the RSGB exam. A true gentleman with a heart
of gold.

As soon as I know the funeral arrangements I will let you know.

There will be a condolence card for you to sign this Friday if you are
at the club.

In the meantime, our deepest thoughts and sympathy from all of us at
NBARC are with his wife Anna and family.
