LinuxFest Northwest 2011 is almost here. Thank you for helping make LFNW a premier open source event! April 30 & May 1 at Bellingham (WA) Technical College.

Some Fest Highlights
- ACLU/EFF – champions of digital rights; bedrock of Free & Open Source
- Greg Kroah-Hartman, leading Linux kernel developer
- Joe “Zonker” Brockmeier (internationally known, enthusiastic software freedom advocate)
- Cloud; security; Android; multimedia; hard-core sysadmin and dev tools, tricks and tips
- Free (as in speech) brewing (as in beer) – see the process, drink the beer at the Saturday after-party

Job Fair and Gathering (Friday evening before the Fest)
Please join LFNW and other local technology people at a job fair and general tech community hullabaloo. Food, drinks, companies looking for tech talent. Mingle with the largest gathering of tech talent in NW Washington. All Fest folks are invited! No charge. 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Fairhaven Cruise Terminal. More information at tagnw.org/technight.

Help get the word out
Most people attend the Fest because they heard about it from someone else. If you are attending LFNW, exhibiting, presenting or sponsoring, please tell other people, and spread the word through your own connections. It looks like there will be over 80 talks, so it should be interesting in several ways.

Let me know if there is something that I can do that will tip the decision for you.

It's really a question of time more than anything. I've a baby on the
way so my weekends are pretty full anymore with all the prep stuff
I've got on my plate.
