Spring Registration, Holiday Food Drive for the Monroe Food Pantry, and Fund Raising Sports Memorabilia Auction

Hello and Happy Holidays from the Monroe Woodbury Little League

Here are a few important dates and events that are coming up before the end of the year:

 

December 9th:  Food Drive

 

MWLL is sponsoring a food drive for the benefit of the Monroe Food Pantry.  Volunteers from the league will be outside Smith's Clove Park at the equipment lockup building, accepting donations of non-perishable (canned) food items, like hams, pineapples, soup, instant potatoes, cereal, tuna and juice, from 9AM to 2 PM on Saturday, December 9th. 

Also, if you are interested in volunteering your time to this cause, please contact Brian McDermott at bri...@frontiernet.net.  (This type of community service might be valuable to those who are in the Confirmation class at Sacred Heart Church, for instance.)

 

December 13th: Sports Memorabilia Auction

 

MWLL is holding a fund raising auction at the American Legion post on Lakes Road in Monroe on Wednesday, December 13th.  Viewing begins at 6:30 PM with the auction starting at 8PM.  It's a great way to do some of your holiday shopping while helping out the league.  Please feel free to distribute the attached flyer.  Contact Robert Collins, league President, to request any specific wish-list items ahead of time.

 

December 15th: Spring 2007 Registration DEADLINE

 

While registration will continue after December 15th, a LATE FEE will be added.  Avoid the fee, register now.  The in-person registration dates have passed, but you can still register online at www.mwlittleleague.com or by downloading the registration form from that site, and mailing it into PO BOX 1133, Monroe NY 10950.

 

Coming Soon: Our Winter 2007 Calendar of Events including important information about the indoor winter clinics, coaching clinics, try outs for the 8 and 9 year old divisions, and picture/uniform day.  This information will be sent in the US mail, to this email list, and posted on the website, once finalized.
