2. REV. CANON ENG. JAMES M.N. ZIKUSOKA
Born in November 11 1926, this man of the
cloth who was about to celebrate his 82nd birthday joined Mwiri
in 1942. H e completed his Junior Secondary Leaving Examinations in Dec 1944
and thereafter received his Cambridge School Certificate in 1947.
While at Mwiri, Rev. Canon Zikusoka was Head
of House Hannington, a member of the school football team, the athletics team
as well as the school Choir and Band.
After
Mwiri, Eng. Zikusoka attained a higher diploma in civil and structural
engineering from Brighton technical college in England, in addition to being
trained in the Imperial College University of London in public health
Engineering. He was ordained a deacon in 1988 and a reverend canon in 1989
He has served
his country diligently as Permanent secretary as well as Engineer in Chief in
the ministry of works, housing and communications. He has also been the Town
Engineer of Jinja Municipal Council, in addition to serving in various
engineering roles in the country. Currently, he is a member of various
engineering and science societies and has worked for the commonwealth
secretariat, United Nations, ministry of works, housing and communications.
