Hi everyone,

Thank you all to everyone that came out and raced this weekend! Right now, the schedule has this weekend finishing up the race series as conference championships this weekend. That being said, if you would like to continue to have collegiate race weekends, I would be more than happy to keep putting these on and have a longer “season.” The weather in Michigan is still being crazy, and we’re still seeing snow. Please email me if you’d like to continue this for a weekend (or several) longer! A reminder that all logistic details and communique’s can be found on the google doc.

TL;DR: This weekend is currently slated as the last weekend in the series! If you'd like to continue this for more weekends, please email me at ryan...@gmail.com with your preferences! Register for weekend 3 of racing HERE! All races have neutral rollout of 1 mile, and all racers are required to submit a doping control form over the course of the weekend.

We’ll be back at it again this weekend- race weekend #3 takes us to back to Watopia for a rolling RR and to a new world in Yorkshire for the crit! As this weekend is “Conference Champs” all races will be Double Points.

Race Weekend 3: Conference Champs *Double Points*  4/25-4/26

Again, as this has been a learning experience in ironing out the kinks of the process, there will be TWO IMPORTANT CHANGES TO LOGISTICS THIS WEEKEND:

  1. Zwift Anti-Doping Control (ZADA) will be present at the race this weekend. In order to participate, all riders must submit a doping control form no sooner than 24 hours before the first race (IE, can be submitted Friday, Saturday or Sunday only). This involves two image uploads- one of a weigh-in on a scale, and another a screenshot of your zwift profile (from the pause menu take a screenshot of your height and weight setting on zwift). If you’re unable to do this, please email me and we can figure something out.

  1. Based on inconsistencies in the starting grid placement, we will be implementing a NEUTRAL ROLLOUT for each race for the first 1 mile. I (ride leader) will have an icon above me. During rollout, all riders must stay behind me until we hit 1 mile and I send a message to the group indicating racing is on. This will ensure that nobody is disadvantaged by being placed way at the back by zwift (happened at the beginning of races last weekend on busy routes).

As a reminder, please don’t forget to SUBMIT RESULTS by 7pm the day of the race. (Preferably by google form, but email/text/discord is fine as well). We only had 2 people submit times yesterday and had to rely on people remembering the finishing order around them!

Note: Finish data screen only stays up for 15 seconds post finish, so be prepared to write it down and/or take a picture with your phone!

Again, please try and register by Friday at 8pm, although if you register after that, I’ll probably check the reg sheet the morning of and be able to add you. Just send me an email/text to be sure you get added. Sign up HERE! Updated standings through last weekend are:

As always, feel free to email or text me with any questions!
-Ryan
