Guide to Amphibian Eggs and Larvae of the Western Great Lakes
Authors: Gary S. Casper, Ryne D. Rutherford, Thomas G. Anton

This pocket field guide will help natural resource professionals and citizen scientists alike identify the eggs and larvae of amphibians found in the Western Great Lakes. The guide covers fourteen species of frogs and toads and nine species of salamanders. While it's a technical guide rather than an introductory field guide, it boasts a wealth of information that will be of interest to any amphibian enthusiast. The guide—printed on special water-resistant paper and sized to fit easily into a pocket or small bag—includes keys to both amphibian eggs and amphibian larvae to help users identify what they are seeing in the field. It also includes species accounts for salamanders, frogs, and toads, including photographs, range maps, and information about habitat and lifecycle.
