Last chance!  We’ve extended registration for the Ohio Amphibian & Reptile Conference until this Monday, March 9.  The conference will be held on March 25, 2020 at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center on the OSU campus.  Presentations will include a keynote by Lauren Pond, a visual artist and author of the book Test of Faith: Sings, Serpents, Salvation.  A sampling of other presentations includes:

Southwest Ohio herpetological surveys and the conservation and management they inform – Jeffrey G. Davis

Snakes on a lane: predicting hotspots of snake road mortality in southeastern Ohio -- Ryan B. Wagener, Carl R. Brune, and Viorel D. Popescue

Genetic structure of Common Gartersnake (Thamnophis sirtalis) populations in northeast and central Ohio -- Nicole Doran, Scott A. Martin, and H. Lisle Gibbs

Genetic pedigree-based estimates of dispersal in Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnakes (Sistrurus catenatus) -- Scott A. Martin and H. Lisle Gibbs

Are pesticides problematic? Carryover effects of aquatic Imidacloprid exposure on the Wood Frog (Rana sylvatica) -- Cassandra Thompson, Megan Sweeney, and Viorel Popescu

High school students: a largely untapped resource -- Doug Wynn

All this, plus a silent auction, poster presentations, and a catered lunch for just $45 ($25 for students)!  Walk-up registrations on the day of the conference - space permitting - are the same price, but do not include lunch.

The Ohio Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (OHPARC) thanks our generous sponsors for making this conference possible: Ohio Division of Wildlife, The Columbus Zoo, The Toledo Zoo, Enviroscience Inc., and the OSU College of Food, Agriculture, and the Environment.
