Subject: Check This Out-Do Me A
Favor!!
Hey Everyone,
SEE MESSAGE BELOW: I met Ryan a
couple years ago when he approached me about accessible fitness equipment and
helped him with this project in the beginning, helping him understand the
inaccessibility of fitness equipment and gyms in general. This guy
understands inaccessibilty of fitness equipment and is trying to change
exercise equipment and develop a piece of equipment that will allow everyone to
work out in the manner theyb want too. He now needs people to vote for
his design, see details below. If you want a truely accessible piece of
equipment to be developed go vote and help our effort.
Thanks,
PS-it only takes a minute or so!!
Brett
Hello Everyone!
I have another favor to ask in regards to my project The Access: Inclusive Fitness Equipment....I have recently entered the James Dyson Award competition and need your help! This competition was created to help designers/engineers get their project off the ground. The criteria is simple: create products that improve peoples' lives. I have entered The Access and public voting has now open. Each product is specified per country, and the winner of the Peoples' Choice per country automatically advances to the next round.
The grand prize for this competition is around $15,000 USD for the designer and an additional $15,000 for the school the designer attended. If you have a couple minutes, it would be deeply appreciated if you could vote for The Access. Your support has been and continues to be the lifeline of this project. A chance to win this competition will vastly help with the progression to bring this product to market as well as provide an opportunity to give back to UC.
To help vote, please follow the instructions below:
1. You will need to do a quick registration with the site: http://www.jamesdysonaward.org/Registration/Registration.aspx (Click to open link)

User Name: (Can be anything)

Region: ** Make sure you select USA or you cannot vote for The Access**
Check the box stating you agree with terms
Check the second box to ensure they don't send you emails
Then hit the Submit button and you are ready to vote!!
2. Now that you are registered, simply click the Vote Now button once the webpage has redirected you. You will see a list of projects. There are 4 pages and the projects are arranged based on vote. Please find The Access: Inclusive Fitness Equipment (should be on first page) and click on the name to view the entry. You will see a description, some images, and a video I created for this competition.
3. At the bottom of the page, you will see a row of stars - this is where you vote 1 star (low) - 10 stars (best). Please select the amount of stars you feel appropriate and then click Submit Rating.
Then you're done!!!
*** Also please send this to anyone/everyone you feel would have an interest to
help. The power of a network is immense and crucial to the success. The more
people this reaches, the better chances of advancing to the next round***
Again, I cannot thank you all enough for the support you have given thus far,
it means so much. I am doing everything I can to provide a solution to the
absence of accessible fitness equipment but I cannot get their without your
continued support. I appreciate your time to help making my dream a
reality and will send out a follow-up email once the voting is closed.
Thank you again so much!
Ryan
