idea: sort of a mixed party and some talks. we should start a little
early, like in the evening. people can show off thier gizmos.

BBQ is a nice idea. ekum in that case we are somewhat required to move
out of male' and a BBQ cant cater the requirement of handson
experience on FFox 3 like last time. so we need an solution to offer
both or many in a singular event with or event center.

and i think we need a door prize as an attraction on the event and
prior advertisement is required too.

idea: we could go with 2 or 3 designs of casual Tshirts. All Tshirts
with a price tag. once the event is done we can take the tshirts to
some PC vendors to sell ;) the revenue could be good for a start ;)

so webiste owners/devs will give a short review of the website etc.

Shaffah asked about the diggbutton, but I don't think that we can do
much about it related to FF3. But we could design a led counter
indicating FF3 downloads... and we can hook it up to the internet. A
cheaper alternative would be a screen projected version of the downloads
in realtime...

What do you guys think?

dharubaaruge for a venue is pretty much affordable i guess with a
solid sponsor..... cos it kinda costed me some mrf. 1000 to put
together an 8 hr running party.. (i.e "BILLORI MAALAN") bt there are
other spacious halls which can be looked up...

anyways.. How abt a Linux Demo Day.. to go along.. (a topic which was
raised the earlier party) where ppl can come in... hear abt wat sum
maldivian Linux Savvy's got to say abt it (introduction wise) while
getting a first hand experience of some popular distros.. which also
brings to the conclusion

PC .... if pc's need to be brought in this time.. a good amount of
them.. and taking atleast a day or two seting them up before the
party... (atleast that'll compromise the "I can crimp cat5 and the
color code can be what what ever it is" :p )

n of cos i support the idea of these small online communities doing a
bitto their own stuff .... intros

most important of cos... geting a SOLID SPONSOR ... n a bitto
advertising along with it..

ok.. heres an idea to attract a crowd...
1. forget the pc's get one heck of a sponsor.. not ripping them off
much..
2. get one of the rooms at dharubaaruge..
3.get hub to do sum lighting n throw a damn DJ..
4. handout 20,000 flyers... (wud cost sumthin like 2,000 mrf on
normal A5 ..charp )

there are CDJ's around male' who host parties just for the sake of
fun.... in between firefox intro launching slides.. speeches... n its
back to the crazy party...

hehe.. n ya .. for the peepz who cant dance.. it can be a good
lesson.... cos there isnt a hard n fast rule to do it..

yeah this time we should give out flyers! (last time i printed 1000flyers for around 600RF on A6 black and white)
