I have a client looking to remote host their Reality system.  Has anyone done this?, Any recommendations for hosts? what are the issues with printing?  Any help/input would be appreciated.

Hello Bill,

My company Pick Cloud, Inc's specialty is hosting MultiValue/Pick systems in the cloud cost effectively - regardless of which PICK environment they are using. We host Linux and Windows systems specifically. We also partner with companies like Synergetic Data Systems (SDSI) who provide secure cloud printing software for those who require the traditional PICK spooler printing method. This not only allows the client to print from the cloud securely (SSL), but also compresses the print job when delivery the job to the client's printer onsite.

Some things to consider before moving to the cloud are:

Do they have a reliable, high quality ISP?  Are there any other applications they use that interact with their Reality system? How do they connect and are those going to be hosted too?  Any industry compliance they have to deal with - ie PCI, HIPAA, etc.??

If you would like to contact me offline I would be more than happy to have a conference call or GoToMeeting to answer any questions you may have.

Best,

Mark Pick
