Why not just load in up in XPMode using VirtualPC .... or use VirtualBox or VMware if you would prefer

Has anyone had any luck running RevG under Windows 7 (64 bit)? I have a REALLY old copy I use for various things.  I've tried all the different compatibility modes but they don't work. VirtualXP is a good idea ... except that if you haven't got 7 Pro it
isn't available. And ime it doesn't always work that well - it's a
clever idea but unfortunately doesn't quite do what it says on the tin :-(

I've been able to run AREV on 32bit Win 7, but haven't been able to on the 64bit version.  (I think I still have a copy of RevG, but it has been decades now since I've used it.)

It looks like DOSBox might work.  I haven't tried it (although I might because then I could run AREV on my 64bit Win 7 platform), but a quick Goggle search pulled it up:

It does seem to work (it lets me run AREV, which is definite a 16bit DOS program, like RevG), but it's none too fast.

John, I'd suggest either VMWare Player (free) or dosbox (also free).

Thanks for all the suggestions. I tried dosbox and it looks like it
will work fine.
