As always, I enjoy these tips - but this time I am a tad lost....

Do I SET.PRIVATE.SERVER on both the client and the server or - which one?
 And the 'addr' - is that the address of the server or the address of the client?

Hi Mike,

 

We will clarify the wording of the article.

 

The SET.SERVER or SET.PRIVATE.SERVER is executed on the local (client) system and creates a reference to a remote QM server that has files that you wish to access. All of the authentication details in the command relate to the process that will be created on the remote system when a QM session attempts to open a file on that server.
