Hi all,

I am looking for report writing, consolidating databases, would like an opportunity to work.   I have been working on Pick, D3, Universe, systems for a long time, and love it.

Issue is, I can't find anyone who uses it - that is  - advertising jobs - any info much appreciated as to what companies in Massachusetts or Connecticut I could apply to?

Thank You!
Susan

Susan I haven't looked for your LinkedIn profile but I recommend you ensure it is complete and current.
For anyone looking for a position, almost every inquiry I get from end-users includes a requirement for skills with modern tooling, whether .NET, Java, PHP, SQL. The trend is that end-users regard their MV environment as one component, a tactical component of a larger IT strategy. This doesn't fit with BASIC-only Pick folks so it's very hard to find work for them. For anyone who does do that kind of outside work, profile it strongly to stand out and get recognized.

An ongoing irony is that end-users can't find skilled people, and talented people can't find end-users.
I've been working on a related project but too soon to announce.
In the meantime:

And that refers to http://www.pickjobs.net/
You are also welcome to post your availability in our other LinkedIn group which has almost 2800 members.

There are a lot of recruiters in these forums who are hungry to offer you some assistance. Out of maybe a hundred there might be three who actually know this industry. Don't let anyone represent you unless they're qualified to do so.

Good luck.
T

Hi Susan,

There are at least two groups of interest.

  PICK Users Group
  U2 Users Group

I imagine there is a large overlap in members, but you should probably post to both groups.

HTH,

Brian

I co-manage the Pick User Group with others.
It's on the PickWiki employment page. ;)
