D3 equivalents for SETINDEX/READFWD

Does Rocket Software's D3 product have an equivalent to teh SETINDEX and READFWD command in uniData?

If not, what's the best practice for "reversing" an index to find the Item-ID for a value in the index?

I think the KEY() function does this.  If I remember, it is easier than SETINDEX and READXFWD/BCK.

Almost exactly what I'm looking for. Presumably the Item-ID is available too.
