I worked for Car!nk remotely as a contractor (summer 2010 to summer
2011) from Portland. It was a good group to work with, although being
so remote from Miami did cause communication problems (when I'd run
into a question in the early afternoon here in Portland, everyone I
worked with was already gone for the day).
At that time, nearly everyone who worked for Car!nk worked remotely
(even some of the people who live in the Miami area). I'm not certain
that will continue...I'm now working at the ADP mothership here in
Portland, and they've announced recently that they are phasing out
people working remotely. It's all part of the change to Agile--they
want people working face-to-face.
I don't know if this affects the Car!nk subsidiary or not--if it does,
then they'll want someone to be there in Miami. (But also if this
change does include Car!nk, then Car!nk must be going through a lot of
major changes rights now, since their whole model was built on people
working remotely.)
