Is there a reason that the Unity MvcContrib project is in a
"Deprecated" solution folder in the MvcContrib solution? Is the
UnityControllerFactory something that is being phased out in favor of
something else?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Jeremy,

We found it was too much working keeping the project up to date with the latest version of each of the containers. There is no clear front runner in the containers space.  Some are more popular than others but at the end of the day we saw that maintaining all of the container code seemed like more effort than benefit.  That being said, you can use the code as a reference implementation if you want to use Unity.

Personally, I prefer structure map because of its convention based configuration. It seems to be the least intrusive container.  I know that you will get a different opinion on which container to use from everyone you ask.

Thanks for the prompt reply!

We're already committed to Unity on the project we're working on so
we'll just bring in the Unity project from MvcContrib and use it as is
for now. It's such a small project that I don't really foresee us
needing to make any changes to it.

Thanks for MvcContrib. Great stuff.

Jeremy
