How to interpret the statistics

I downloaded the MV5 Version 0.9 and followed the steps in
http://sites.google.com/site/mv5sim/quick-start.
It took quite long time to compile and then run the benchmark.

My question is how to interpret the statistics in m5stats.txt.
I guess there might be some documents that I can refer to.
It seems that M5 supports post-processing of collected statistics.
Is there any script available?

By the way, I heard that M5 supports parallel simulation, which would
greatly increase the productivity.

Hi Bin,

The documentation of the statistics is basically the text in the m5stats.txt...

I know Gem5 links its outputs to database, but I've never tried that. I also have some space exploration/post processing system, see https://sites.google.com/site/mv5sim/space-exploration for more details. 

I know that there are efforts in developing parallel M5, not sure how it is going, you can shoot an email to gem5's mailing list to double check.
