The sewage treatment plant uses about 17 million kwH of electricity per year. MV generates about 39% of the total sewage.

 

There is no exact plan to allocate MV's share to MV. I just meant that it seems to make sense to do that. The Climate Action Registry protocol is to allocate the CO2 emissions to the entity in which the emissions are released…..Palo Alto in this case. So, for now, Palo Alto is reporting the related emissions as coming from Palo Alto, even though 39% of the sewage is coming from MV.
