>The Division of Measurement ensures, by means of routine inspections, that the motoring public has available free air and water at stations that provide motor vehicle fuel to their customers who purchase fuel. As was correctly noted, the code does not address vehicles that run on alternative fuels or electric vehicles. The Division does not have the authority to alter the provisions of this code. However, if you wish to have this law amended to include these types of vehicles, please contact your State legislator and have them propose a change to the existing code requirement.

-----Original Message----- Thanks, James. This actually refers to gas stations that have the air compressors available. Personally, I'd like to see a requirement for *all* gas stations to have air compressors available to customers as a condition for their business licences, but I don't suppose that's very likely to happen.
Cheers!
Bruce
